Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and 8D Labs, which operates BOOSTMAP. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

1. What BOOSTMAP is

BOOSTMAP is a place to document and prove an automotive career: the vehicles you have owned and built, the events you have run, the results you have earned, and the people and organizations you have worked with. Some of that record is what you tell us. Some of it is confirmed by someone else. The platform is designed so that you and everyone reading your profile can tell those two things apart.

2. This is a beta

BOOSTMAP is in private beta. Features will change, break and disappear. We may reset data, change how records are structured, or take the service offline without notice. Do not treat BOOSTMAP as the only copy of anything you care about.

3. Who can use it

18 and over: you can create an account yourself.

13 to 17: you can create an account with the agreement of a parent or guardian. We ask for their name and email when you sign up, and by continuing you are both confirming they have read these terms and the Privacy Policy and agree to you using BOOSTMAP. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to see what is on the account, correct it, or have it closed.

Under 13: not permitted. We will close any account we find that belongs to someone under 13.

Whatever your age: give accurate information, keep your account details up to date, and do not share your login. One person, one account.

4. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you upload: your photos, your descriptions, your records. By posting it you give us permission to store it, display it on the parts of BOOSTMAP you have chosen to make visible, and make the technical copies needed to run the service. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies already made by others and for records we are required to keep.

Only upload what you have the right to upload. If a photographer took the photo, you need their permission to post it.

5. Claims about other people and organizations

This is the rule that matters most here, and it is enforced in the software, not only in this document.

• You may not publish a claim that names another person or company as though they have confirmed it. A sponsorship, an employer, a team, an instructor or a sale to a named buyer becomes visible only once the other side confirms it.
• You may not impersonate anyone, claim results you did not earn, claim vehicles you did not own, or present someone else’s work as your own.
• You may not upload another company’s logo or trademark. Only the rights holder can do that, from their own account.

6. What verification means, and what it does not

A confirmed record means a second party said it was true. It is not a guarantee, an endorsement, a background check, or a statement that we have independently audited anything. Do not treat a BOOSTMAP profile as the only diligence you do before hiring someone, sponsoring someone, or buying a car.

Verification is never for sale. No payment to us changes a verification state, a rating or a ranking.

7. Things you must not do

• Break the law, or use BOOSTMAP to help someone else break it.
• Harass, threaten or defame anyone, or post content that is hateful or sexually explicit.
• Scrape, bulk-download or resell other members’ information, or use it to build a competing database.
• Probe, overload or interfere with the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
• Use someone else’s vehicle identification number or documents.

8. Members under 18

A profile on BOOSTMAP is public by design, and a public record of a young driver is worth being careful about. If you are between 13 and 17:

• Your parent or guardian can ask us at any time to show them your account, correct something on it, or close it. We will do that.
• Think before you post the name of your school, the town you live in, or where the car is kept. Event venues are fine. Your address is not.
• We do not sell anyone’s information, and we do not target advertising at any individual member (see the Privacy Policy).

If a parent or guardian withdraws their agreement, the account is closed.

9. Suspension and removal

We can remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so we will say why and give you a chance to respond, but we may act first when there is a risk to someone.

If you believe a record about you is wrong, tell us. Corrections supersede rather than erase: the corrected version becomes the public one and the earlier claim stays in our internal audit trail, because quietly deleting a disputed record is how a history becomes untrustworthy.

10. Closing your account

You can close your account at any time. We will remove your profile and your content from public view. Some records will survive in a form that does not name you: where your ownership of a vehicle sits in the middle of that vehicle’s history, it stays as an unnamed period rather than a gap, because a gap in a chassis history looks like something being hidden. Confirmations that other members rely on, and our audit logs, are also kept.

11. No warranty

BOOSTMAP is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available, accurate, secure or fit for any particular purpose. Member-submitted information is exactly that, and we are not responsible for its accuracy.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, 8D Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the version number changes and you will be asked to agree again before you continue using the service. The version you agreed to, and the date, are recorded on your account.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
